THE FIRST WEEKS

What happens right after registration.

A new company has obligations from its first day. We put them in order so nothing is missed.

E-invoicing in Croatia. Since 1 January 2026, VAT-registered companies must issue and receive e-invoices for domestic B2B transactions. Companies outside the VAT system must receive them now and issue them from 1 January 2027.

Post-registration checklist

  1. Business bank account and transfer of the share capital from the temporary account.
  2. Tax registration with the Tax Administration.
  3. VAT decision: register now or stay out until the EUR 60,000 threshold.
  4. E-invoicing address registered, and an invoicing solution in place.
  5. Beneficial ownership entered in the official register.
  6. Director's status: employment, social contributions and, for non-EU nationals, residence and work.
  7. Books opened with the correct opening balance.
